As a Freelance Designer, I live design and creativity everyday.
I grew up surrounded by creativity. My mother is a Abstract Painter, my dad is a Wearable Glass Artist, my Opa was a Master Tailor and my Grandma was a Seamstress and Milliner . I loved to draw, dance, grow and create as a child.
As I grew up, I relished in the creative subjects. Art, Drama, Home economics, Technical drawing, and sewing. Then in Uni, I did a Bachelor of Arts in Design for Theatre and Television. I learnt so much about set designing, Lighting designing and Costume designing.
After moving to a new city, I fell into hospitality. I really enjoyed it but after a while, I craved a return to design. So i decided to re-study. This time I completed a Diploma in Interior Technology and absolutely loved it.
The next challenge was finding a job in that field. I had tried before and knew how hard it was. I decided to look outside the traditional areas and found a designer job as an Exhibition and Custom stand designer. But i never stopped learning and exploring other areas such as completing an online coarse in Revit, completing a Cert 4 in Clothing Production, teaching myself basic Millinery skills, Designing and landscaping my backyard and styling and re-styling my house. All of this has eventually led me to where i am now. A freelance designer.
I am inspired by life. From a small flower, to a colour, to the latest interior trends or a painting. This is why i have created this Blog. To share with you these inspirations and hopefully, to inspire you as well.
